(Columbus, Neb.) – May 1 is the application deadline for the 2017 Central Honors Institute (CHI), which will be held July 9-13 at Central Community College-Columbus.
CHI is an academic camp for students who will begin the seventh or eighth grade in the fall and have demonstrated academic accomplishments, leadership and maturity.
Students are placed on one of five tracks based on their interest and aptitude. The tracks include CHI Creativity (language arts), CHI Stream Team (biology), CHI TechExplorers (computers), CSI at CHI (math) and FLY CHI (physics).
Camp participants attend class during the day, enjoy social activities in the evening and stay overnight in the college’s residence hall.
