Anderson Leads #2 Raiders to Win over Southeast

COLUMBUS –  Amber Anderson was dominant at the net, as she led the Raiders offensively in their win over Southeast.

#2 Central Community College volleyball team remains undefeated as they downed Southeast Community College in four sets. The Raiders won the first set in strong fashion, 25-15, before dropping the second set 22-25.

The Raiders turned things around quickly though, dominating set three and four 25-8, and 25-14.

“It’s always good to get a region and conference win.  Our effort and execution in set 2 was disappointing, but credit to Southeast as they passed and played good defense all night.  We finally were able to get our block working in set three and it really slowed them down physically and emotionally.  Again, good to get the win at home,” says Head Coach Mary Young.

CCC advances to 12-0.

They next play in a tournament in Cedar Rapids over the weekend.
