Banner County School Board approves 4-day school week

HARRISBURG, NE (Omaha World-Herald News Service) – The Banner County School Board this week unanimously approved a four-day school week. The new proposal takes effect next school year.

Under the new plan…students will be required to attend school Monday through Thursday…with those days lasting ten minutes longer.

School officials tell the Scottsbluff Star-Herald that Fridays would be optional attendance days for students to take part in enrichment activities like field trips and other expanded learning opportunities.
