COLUMBUS, Neb. – A summit that focuses on inclusion in the workplace will be held at Central Community College next week.
The Columbus Leadership Diversity and Inclusion summit will meet at CCC next Monday from 8 a.m. to noon.
CCC, NPPD and the Columbus Chamber partnered for event that will include a panel with area business leaders about they value and want from employers.
Ken Curry, who works for NPPD and is also a chamber board member, says he hopes attendees will leave the college with a better understanding of how diversity in the workplace benefits everybody.
“Every individual brings a gift and we as leaders in an organization, as community leaders, need to appreciate that. If we learn about others, understand others and then that will help us make better decisions and help us lead,” says Curry.
Other summit topics include a workshop on teamwork and a speech for women about breaking through the glass ceiling.
