COLUMBUS, Neb. – Aspen Luebbe of Columbus High shined on day two of the Class B State Golf tournament, propelling herself and her team, to strong finishes.
Luebbe shot an 80 on Tuesday, the second best round of the day to finish tied for fourth place overall, with a 20-over par, 164, over the two day tournament at Quail Run Golf Course in Columbus.
The junior showed improvement from last year, where she took 10th in the state tournament, a year ago.
CHS also had strong rounds from Emily Goc and Emilee Rotherham, who both finished in the top 20, to spur the Lady Discoverers to 4th place as a team.
Goc show an 89 on Tuesday, which combined for a 39-over par over two days. Rotherham shot a 37-over, or 201 for the tournament.
Amber Sanne (+80) and Ashley Warner (+82) finished 55th and 56th in the tournament.
