COLUMBUS – The Raiders leading scorer in 2016-17 is heading to Mount Marty College in South Dakota.
Fleming averaged 19 points per game during his Sophomore campaign for the CCC mens basketball team, shooting 42.9 percent from 3, and 52.1 percent from the field. The High Plans Community Alum averaged 6.1 rebounds and 2.4 assists per game, and earned All-Region IX honors after his standout season.
Fleming says his father’s side of his family originates, from around the Yankton area, where he will be attending school.
“I went on a visit. Definitely love the atmosphere on campus. I played with the guys and really love the chemistry they had there, and thought it’d be a good spot for me,” says Fleming. “Definitely going to miss CCC, but I’m definitely excited to go on and pursue my basketball career and business administration.”
Fleming says he is unsure exactly what he would like to do with his Business Administration degree, but says he’s aiming towards working management with a seed company or Coop.
Fleming has two years of eligibly remaining, and will be a strong addition for the Mount Marty Lancers.
