Klatt, Zakrzewski’s Season Ends at State
Rachel Klatt and Regi Zakrzewski went 2-1 at State in #1 Doubles on Thursday.

COLUMBUS – Rachel Klatt and Regi Zakrzewski finished their record breaking year after falling in the fourth round of the State Tournament.

The Columbus duo started out strong, taking down their opponents from Omaha South 6-0, 6-0 before beating Fremont 6-1,6-1.  The girls would fall to Papillion-Lavista 6-0, 6-0 to head to the 5th place bracket.

The duo fell to Lincoln Southeast in match 118 of the tournament 6-1,6-4 to finish tied for 7th in the #1 Doubles division.  Lincoln Southeast would go on to win-out in the 5th place bracket.

Heading into the State Tournament, Klatt and Zakrzewski set the record for Double’s wins in a season at 32. Klatt and 2016 doubles partner Alyssa Curry, were the previous record holders at 31 wins.
