Kuhlman Shoots 80, Columbus Finishes 7th of 15 at Home Invite

COLUMBUS – The Columbus High boys finished 7th at their home invite, with Mitchell Kuhlman leading the way with the low score of 80, to finish in the top 20.

Kuhlman shot two steady rounds, scoring 40’s on both the front and back 9 to finish 14th overall. Cabe DeBower and Trent Meister tied at the second lowest for the team, with scores of 87.  Meister shot a 41 on the front with a 46 on the back, while DeBower shot a 43 on the front and a 44 on the back.

Shane Hess, who is currently shooting at the teams number 3 spot, finished with an 89, shooting a 41 on the front and a 48 on the back.  Zach Paden rounded out the Discoverers with a 108.

The team finished in 7th place with a score of 343. CHS was just 2 strokes behind Lincoln Southeast, and 10 strokes behind Grand Island.
