COLUMBUS – The Remm brothers made the transition to college quite smoothly, leading the Raiders to victory in their first duel on Wednesday.
The 2017 Lakeview graduates led the team with the two lowest scores on the day, with Colten carding a 74 and Caden carding a 75. The team defeated Mount Marty College by 10 strokes, winning 310-320.
Other low scorers for the team included Sophomore Marshall Dreifurst, from Scotus, who shot an 80, and Freshman Nate Grossnicklaus, of Shelby-Rising City, who scored an 81.
“The Raider’s score was the lowest posted by a Raider team in almost 2 years and I’m very optimistic about upcoming events. I believe the team has the potential to post a sub 300 score this season,” says Head Coach Joe Blackwell.
The Raiders are in action again on September 8th at Elks C.C. hosting a Triangular against York College and Southwest Community College of Iowa.
