COLUMBUS – The Scotus Girls responded well coming off a loss last week as they led from the beginning in their 38-29 win over Norfolk Catholic on Tuesday night.
The Shamrocks would take a 14-4 lead after the first quarter thanks to Shania Borchers who would finish with 8 points in the games first eight minutes.
Kendra Wiese would provide a nice contribution offensively as well, as she added eight points including four at the free throw line for Scotus.
After allowing over 50 points in their last game, the Scotus defense was dominant at the start of both halves, as they held the Knights to just four points in the first quarter and just six in the third.
Scotus senior Emma Strecker had another great night for the Shamrocks, as she knocked down two three pointers on her way to a team high 11 points.
