Huskers drop to eighth seed in Big Ten tournament

MADISON, Wis. — Nebraska’s regular season ended with a 4-2 loss at Wisconsin, dropping the Huskers to the No. 8 seed for the Big Ten tournament.

The Badgers (38-11, 15-8 Big Ten), meanwhile, secured the No. 5 seed for the tourney that begins Thursday in Bloomington, Indiana. Nebraska (21-30, 9-14) faces No. 9 Illinois at approximately 12:30 p.m. with the winner meeting top-seed Michigan in Friday’s quarterfinals.

Lindsey Walljasper had two hits and Courtney Wallace pitched the final four innings, giving up two hits and two walks for NU.
