Ahlers, Wyatt Recognized on All-State Academic Team

LINCOLN – Two CCC-Columbus students were among the six CCC students named to the Nebraska All-State Academic Team.

According to a press release, Megan Ahlers of Emerson and Grant Wyatt of Tilden, were recognized at the ceremony on April 11th, at the Cornhusker Marriott in Lincoln.

Ahlers is apart of the academic transfer program and is active in Phi Theta Kappa Chi Sigma, and has been named to the college’s Dean’s List. Ahlers says she plans on transferring to the University of Nebraska at Omaha to complete  a bachelor’s degree in business administration.

Wyatt is an environmental biology major and serves as the president of Phi Theta Kappa Chi Sigma. Wyatt is also active on campus, serving as an ambassador, a peer mentor , and a tutor.  Wyatt has been the recipient of the EducationQuest Reaching Your Potential Scholarship, Vincent Lempke Memorial Scholarship and Newport Presidential Leadership Scholarship.

Wyatt says after he graduates from CCC this May, he plans to transfer to Peru State College to complete his undergraduate studies.
