SCHUYLER – The Colfax County Sheriff’s Office released numbers from their recent “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over” Campaign.
The campaign ran from December 15th to January 1st, and resulted in 78 citations and multiple arrests. The sheriff’s office says found 3 driving under the influence of alcohol and 1 driving under the influence of drugs during the campaign, in addition to 6 minors cited for possession of alcohol. 3 warrants, including 2 felony warrants, were returned during the campaign.
Eight deputies worked an additional 90 hours during the campaign, making a total of 162 contacts, says the department.

8 Deputies participated with 90 hours of extra time not counting their routine shift. There was a total of 162 contacts with 78 citations issued, 40 of them being speeding citations, 7 citations issued for driving without a license, 2 citations for driving on a suspended license, and 1 citation for careless driving. In addition there were;
6 Minor in Possession-Alchohol
5 Possession of Marijuana less than an ounce
3 Warrants with 2 being Felony Warrants
3 Driving Under the Influence-Alcohol
1 Driving Under the Influence-Drugs
2 Open Containers
2 Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
