Bond Approved for New High School in Leigh

LEIGH- Voters from Colfax, Platte and Stanton counties in the Leigh school district approved Tuesday a nearly $10 million bond issue for a new junior-senior high school.

The final vote was 343 in favor and 170 against. In Colfax County where the school is located, the vote was 220 votes or 77.5 percent in favor and 64 votes or 22.5 percent against.

Leigh Superintendent Stephanie Peterson says the levy increase will be about 2.3%  but could change next year according to valuations.
