COLUMBUS – Columbus High School has announced who will be taking over as the Activities Director for the 2019-2020 school year.
In a press release, CHS announced that Tim Kwapnioski has been hired to take over in the role. Kwapnioski is a graduate of Columbus High School, and earned a bachelor’s degree from South Dakota State University, a master’s degree from Wayne State College, and a master’s degree with an education specialist from the University of Nebraska Kearney.
Kwapnioski began his education career as a teacher at North Park and Emerson Elementary schools, and has served as a coach for the Discoverers in football and track. He also served as an elementary and high school principal, as well as the Director of Human Resources of Accreditation for Norfolk Public Schools.
Currently, Kwapnioski is the Director of Instruction, Human Resources, and Communications for Gering Public Schools, and will be returning to CHS in the fall.
