Columbus Drops Game to Seward Bluejays

COLUMBUS – The Columbus Discoverers were coming off a big win over Norfolk in their season opener, but fell on Friday afternoon to the Seward Bluejays by a final score of 12-4.

Columbus got out to an early lead in the contest, leading 2-0 after 1 inning, and 3-0 after two. Seward’s offense would come alive in the middle innings, thanks to some untimely Columbus errors to blow the game wide open on their way to the 12-4 win.

Columbus will be in action again on Saturday afternoon as they take on Papillion-LaVista at 3 PM at Pawnee Park.
