COLUMBUS – A Columbus man was arrested on a warrant Wednesday afternoon, and is charged with distributing methamphetamine.
According to an arrest affidavit, an individual informed the Columbus Police Department that 44-year-old Terry Wickham was selling methamphetamine in the Columbus area. The individual agreed to work as a confidential informant, and set up a meeting with Wickham to purchase methamphetamine for $200.
Police say the CI and Wickham met at US Cellular at 319 23rd Street, where the exchange took place. The CI provided officers with a bag of crystal substance weighing 3.6 grams, which showed a positive result for methamphetamine when tested.
The arrest warrant was issued on September 6, and Wickham was arrested around 4:42 PM on Wednesday afternoon. Wickham will make his first court appearance today, September 13, at 10:15 AM, and is charged with distribution of a schedule II exceptionally hazardous controlled substance, a class II felony.
