COLUMBUS – A Columbus man will serve 30 days in jail after being found guilty of his 3rd DUI offense.
35-year-old Mitchell Ridgway was sentenced before Judge Frank Skorupa in the Platte County Court on Wednesday morning. Ridgway will receive a credit of one day of time served, and was also sentenced to 18 months of probation and a two year revocation of driving privileges.
According to an arrest affidavit, Ridgway was arrested on April 21 around 1:14 AM after Columbus police officers observed him driving eastbound on the 2300 block of 14th Street, which is a one way westbound only street. A preliminary breath test revealed Ridgway’s BAC to be .247, and Ridgway was placed under arrest.
Ridgway was convicted for two other DUI offenses on November 12, 2003, and August 21, 2008. Ridgway’s jail sentence is set to begin on October 22.
