COLUMBUS – Columbus Public Schools will be adding 8 new courses to it’s curriculum.
At their most recent board meeting, members approved unanimously to add the 8 different courses to the schools offerings.
The listed courses included Digital Illustration (HS,CCC), Family & Consumer Science (6th Grade), Foods & Family (7th), Fashion & Finance (7th), Foods & Family (8th), Fashion & Finance (8th), Physical & Earth Science (HS), as well as Child Development & Care (8th).
Digital Illustration will be a dual credit offering through the high school and Central Community College, and Physical & Earth Science will be a high school course. The other 6 courses will be added to the middle school curriculum.
The motion to approve the courses passed unanimously on a 6-0 vote, according to school board minutes.
