COLUMBUS – A car crash between a pickup and a car left traffic at a temporary standstill near Columbus Wednesday evening.
The crash occurred at around 8:45 PM in front of Flexcon along Highway 30 just east of town. Multiple Platte County Sheriffs deputies responded to the scene of the injury accident along with Columbus Fire and Rescue.
Initial traffic was allowed to pass by the scene of the collision in a single file line. As the incident unfolded, traffic was then completely stopped while tow trucks retrieved the vehicles from the roadway.
No ambulance transfer was needed from Columbus Rescue following the accident. The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
