BEATRICE – Gage County had a 36% voter turnout figure in the Primary Election.   A total of 5,123 persons cast ballots, with early voting topping election day voting, by 2,731 to 2,392

Hill said she did not hear of any waiting lines to vote.

She says there were some people who had to cast provisional ballots, because they hadn’t changed their addresses, as required.

Early voting continues to be popular.

The Secretary of State’s Office tried to reassure voters of the security of voting in Nebraska.   Hill says county election offices get regular security updates on various topics.

Republican ballots cast in Gage County in this Primary outnumbered Democrat ballots, 3,122 to 1,609.  Nonpartisan ballots totaled 354.
