COLUMBUS – A mixture of snow and freezing rain is continuing to create dangerous driving conditions in northeast Nebraska.
Butler County Sheriff Tom Dion says that the slick roads were the cause of a single-vehicle rollover accident along Highway 81 on Monday. Dion says that the northbound vehicle was most likely not driving for the conditions, and rolled approximately two times before resting in a ditch near 44 Road a little before 3:00 PM.
Dion says that the driver and a passenger suffered injuries as a result, and were transported to Columbus Community Hospital. The names of those involved, and the extent of their injuries is unknown at this time.
