Man Arrested For Meth After Found Hiding Under Porch

COLUMBUS – A Columbus man was arrested on multiple charges, after police found him hiding under a porch in a trailer park.

Columbus Police say in an affidavit that they were on the lookout for Warren Criswell, 18, in order to issue him a citation for shoplifting. An officer saw Criswell in a local store, and as he began to park his vehicle, Criswell took off running for Elm’s Trailer Park in north-central Columbus, say court records.

The affidavit says Officer’s searched the trailer park, and found Criswell hiding under a porch at one of the local residences. Following an investigation, CPD say they found 58 grams of marijuana in a baggy, in addition to multiple smaller baggies. CPD then say they found a small tin container that held a substance that tested positive for meth.

Criswell was arrested on October 6th, possession of a controlled substance, and possession with intent to deliver, says court records.

This is Criswell’s 5th criminal case in Platte County Court this year, says court records.

A felony first appearance is scheduled for October 25th at 10 a.m. according to court records.
