ANTELOPE, NE — A Neligh man already charged with multiple counts of sexual assault was arrested again Monday following his court hearing in Antelope County.
Darryl Lierman now faces two new charges of sexual assault and one charge of child abuse. If found guilty of the new charges, Lierman could spend a minimum of 30 years in prison. He is already facing the possibility of a life sentence if found guilty in a separate case.
In July of 2015, Lierman was arrested after allegations of sexual assault of a child and child abuse were investigated. After months of court proceedings, his 11 felony charges were dropped to eight.
Madison County Attorney, Joe Smith says the new charges were spurred as a result of information obtained from a pending case in Antelope County.
Lierman was taken to Madison County Jail and is being held on $500,000 bond.
