NORFOLK, NE — An Omaha woman who wasn’t satisfied with an altercation, retaliated by damaging a car.
At 6:17 a.m., Norfolk Police responded to reports of a woman bashing out windows and standing on the roof of a car.
Norfolk Police Captain, Michael Bauer says police had responded to a call earlier in the night with Adri Acosta over a verbal altercation. Bauer says Acosta wasn’t satisfied with police response and damaged a vehicle as retaliation.
Police say that at one point Acosta was inside the car trying to push out the windshield with her feet. As officers approached, Acosta got out of the car and tried to run from officers. She was quickly taken into custody.
Reports say the front windshield was damaged and the back completely broken out. The roof was also partially dented. Two large rocks with blood on them were found on and in the vehicle.
The owners of the car were notified.
According to court records, this isn’t Acosta’s first time damaging property.
Last year in July, surveillance footage captured Acosta vandalizing the car of a woman who was in a relationship with her ex-boyfriend, according to Douglas County court records.
Acosta was arrested Sunday on criminal mischief charges. She was taken to Norfolk City Jail and now sits behind Madison County jail bars.
