Over $100 Worth of Christmas Decorations are Stolen

FREMONT – Numerous holiday decorations were stolen from a Fremont resident.

According to Lt. Ed Watts with the Fremont Police Department, at approximately 6 a.m. on Wednesday a theft was reported from a residence located in the 1600 block of N. I Street. The victim reported that an unknown person or persons stole Christmas decorations from their lawn. There are no known suspects and the estimated loss was $175.

Also at 1:05 p.m. officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of the 2300 block of E. 23rd Street after witnessing a vehicle being driven without any licenses plates or any in transit decal displayed. The driver was identified as 23-year-old Stormy L. Chesmore of Fremont. As a result of the traffic stop Chesmore was cited and released for No Valid Registration and No Proof of Insurance. Chesmore’s vehicle was also impounded.
