Police Suspect ‘Foul Play’ in Lincoln Woman’s Death

Omaha, NE.—”We do believe there is evidence of foul play.”

That statement today from Lincoln Police Chief Jeff Bliemeister in the apparent death of 24-year-old Sydney Loofe.

Bliemester said police believe a body found about 75 miles southwest of Lincoln in rural Clay County is the Lincoln woman who was last seen Nov. 15th near Wilber, Nebraska.

Last night Sydney’s parents, who live in Neligh, issued a Facebook post asking, “Please continue to pray for Sydney and our entire family. May God grant eternal rest unto thee. We love you Sydney.”

Bliemester indicated the ongoing investigation continues to center around 51-year-old Aubrey Trail and 23-year-old Baily Boswell who are in jail on unrelated charges.

Bliemester described the pair as “two of the last people with Sydney prior to her disappearance.” The two are described as “persons of interest” in the case.

Police do not believe there is any continuing threat to the public.

Bliemester said the body was found through “digital evidence” and law enforcement officers on the ground. The chief would not disclose the exact location where the body was discovered.
