SCHUYLER, Neb. – Jobs and health care find two local community groups teaming up.
The Schuyler Chamber of Commerce and Schuyler Community School held its first ever open house fair on Wednesday at the Homestead Community Center.
“We would like for business and individuals in the community to come and see what resources we have to offer to them,” says Schuyler Chamber of Commerce Director Tiffany Cone-Salinas.
“The event of the open house is to incorporate all the business that we have in the Homestead Center,” Salinas adds.
Several organizations participated in the event, from a local health organization to the department of labor and The Comite Latino de Schuyler.
“The Nebraska Department of Labor is helping to bring resources to the Schuyler community by helping with resume building and job search,” said Salinas.
The Schuyler chamber hopes to hold another open house fair next year.
