Search Continues For Missing Beatrice Man

BEATRICE – The search continues for a man reported missing early this month.  Edward Parker hasn’t been seen and his disappearance was reported to Beatrice Police.

Sergeant Jay Murphy says officers continue to check out information or any leads called into the police department.  He says police do not know where he might be.

A Beatrice Police Investigator earlier said Parker was with his brother around June 1st.  The pair went separate ways, and Edward Parker hasn’t been seen since that time.

On a Beatrice Police Facebook post, the department said officers have searched the Big Blue River by boat, on foot and with a drone. Police pinged Parker’s cell phone and it indicated it is off. Police entered information into the National Computer Base so if he is contacted by Law Enforcement, local officers will be alerted. Murphy said the department has been offered the use of specially-trained search dogs to aid in the investigation, and police will be making use of them.

Authorities have encouraged the public that if you have any information that may help out, contact Beatrice Police at 402-223-4080.
