Southeast Community College Marks 100th Class of Licensed Practical Nursing Students

BEATRICE – Southeast Community College will be graduating its 100th class in Licensed Practical Nursing, next month.

To mark the milestone, SCC will be holding a celebration Wednesday on the Beatrice Campus, from noon until four at the Truman Center.

Beatrice Campus Director Bob Morgan says excellent faculty members teaching the nursing students is a reason for the long-time success of the program.  Speakers during the celebration will be Registered Nurse Jill Duis, a former faculty member who is infection preventionist for Jefferson Community Health and Life…and Registered Nurse Sue Hill, a certified gerontology nurse.

Past graduates and current professionals are welcome to attend the celebration.  The Licensed Practical Nursing program at SCC is nationally accredited and has served students since 1971.
