HUMPHREY – Traffic was slowed at a busy intersection Tuesday morning due to a two-vehicle accident.
Officials from the Platte County Sheriff’s Department say that around 11:18 AM, a car that was traveling eastbound on Highway 91 struck a semi-truck that was traveling northbound on Highway 81. Along with the Sheriff’s Department, Humphrey EMS and workers from the Nebraska Department of Roads assisted at the scene, controlling the heavy traffic which was coming through the intersection.
The drivers of both vehicles were examined by Humphrey EMS, but neither party was injured in the collision. The vehicle was towed from the scene, while the semi suffered minimal back-end damage, but did have a small fuel leak which was cleaned up shortly after the accident had occurred.
