High School Golf:

The Fremont High boys golf team finished eleventh at the Columbus Invite at Elks Country Club yesterday.  The Tigers shot a 363.  Papillion LaVista won the meet with a 317.  Kellen Rosnam of Norfolk was the meet medalist with a 72.

High School Track:

The Fremont High boys’ track and field team took first place at the Harold Scott Invite, Thursday, at Lincoln High.  The Tigers scored 129 points.  The host, Lincoln High, was second with 99.  Fremont’s Dallas Thompson won the shot put at 55’ 8”.  Tate Moeller won the Discus with a toss of 147’ 4”.  The Fremont 4×800 relay of Brock Hegarty, Pehrson Huss, Amilcar Gonzalez and Preston Decker, took first at 8:12.62.  Lucas Arps won the 400m dash in 52.25.  Preston Decker was first in the 1600m at 4:37.19.  The Tiger 4x400m relay of Chandler Lipsys, Caelin Reeh, Amilcar Gonzalez and Lucas Arps, took first in 3:28.62.

The Fremont High boys soccer team lost to Lincoln Southeast, 4-2, in overtime at Christensen Field, Thursday.  The Tigers are 8-6 on the season.

The Fremont High girls soccer team lost to Lincoln Southeast, yesterday, 10-0.  Fremont is 1-13 on the season.

High School Golf:

The Archbishop Bergan boys’ golf team finished sixth in the Tom Watson Division of the Columbus Scotus Invite at Quail Run Golf Course, yesterday.  The Knights shot 418.  Jake Martin led the Knights with a 96.

High School Baseball:

The Bergan Knights baseball team dropped a 4-1 decision at Mount Michael Benedictine, yesterday.  The Knights are now 4-9 on the season.

The Blair High track and field teams compete at the Papillion LaVista South Invitational today at 4pm.

The Midland University track and field teams have split their squads for competition today.  A portion are competing at the Kansas Relays, while the rest are at the Jim Dutcher Memorial Classic, in Crete.

The Warrior bowling teams continue competition at the USBC Team Intercollegiate National Championships in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

College Baseball:

The Nebraska baseball team will try to bounce back from its first Big Ten series loss of the season with a visit to conference leader Minnesota. At 5-3-1 the Huskers are currently fourth in the Big Ten while the Gophers enter with a record of 7-2.

The Huskers dropped two of three games to Iowa last weekend and followed that up with a 5-2 midweek loss to Creighton.

Tonight’s game begins at 6:30pm and will be broadcast on AM 1340 KHUB with the Husker Sports Network.

College Volleyball:

The Nebraska volleyball team will play its lone 2017 spring match against Colorado State at the new Kearney High School on Saturday at 3 p.m.

College Softball:

Creighton softball welcomes Butler to Omaha for its final home BIG EAST series of 2017.

College Baseball:

The Omaha baseball team resumes Summit League play this weekend, visiting North Dakota State for a three-game series, April 21-23 at Newman Outdoor Field in Fargo, N.D. First pitch on Friday is set for 6:30 p.m., followed by 1 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
