LINCOLN – During his Monday press conference, Scott Frost said that freshman quarterback Adrian Martinez has no ligament damage to his leg and could play Saturday.
Martinez was injured in the 4th quarter of the game against Colorado on Saturday after making a splash in his debut with 187 yards passing and completing 75% of his passes while throwing a touchdown and an interception. He also finished the day with 117 yards rushing and 2 touchdowns on the ground.
Andrew Bunch practiced Monday with the first team squad in place of the injured Martinez. Frost says he hopes there are at least three guys that can get reps going into Saturday’s match-up against Troy on Saturday.
