North Bend Central Rolls Through Ogallala to Title Game

LINCOLN, NE– The North Bend Central Tigers never trailed and beat Ogallala 64-44 in a Class C-1 semifinal game on Friday.

The Tigers (25-3) grabbed control in the first quarter behind solid play from senior Tanner Wietfeld.  The guard scored … and blocked an Ogallala (27-1) shot just before the buzzer to keep it 17-14.

North Bend Central poured another 17 points in the second quarter to command an eight point lead at halftime.

The Indians managed just 18 points in the second half against the smothering North Bend defense.  The Tigers led by 11 after the third quarter and played keep-away in the fourth to secure the 20-point win.
