Scotus Girls End Personal Losing Streak to GACC

COLUMBUS – It had been a while since Scotus beat Guardian Angels Central Catholic, and apparently the Lady Shamrocks wanted to make sure they finished the job on Tuesday.

Scotus rattled off 18 straight points in the first half, cruising to a 64-39 win, their first in nine tries against GACC.

The Shamrocks had little trouble navigating the defending Class D1 state champion’s full court pressure, finding a balanced offensive attack that saw nine players score.

GACC’s troubles came inside the paint, as the Blue Jays were held to just two 2-point field goals in the entire first half. Scotus also focused much of their attention on Midland University signee Lexis Haase, who was held without a field goal over the 2nd and 3rd quarters.
