Authorities identify man killed in Morning crash

OMAHA, Neb. — Authorities have identified the person killed in a crash on the JFK Freeway early Saturday morning as Juan Pablo Muro, 32, of Lexington Nebraska.

The accident injured two others and shut down traffic in the southbound lanes for approximately two-and-a-half hours.

The crash happened around 3 a.m.

According to initial reports one vehicle was northbound in the southbound lanes when it collided head-on with another near Cornhusker Road.

Southbound lanes of the JFK were shut down as officers investigated the crash. They were reopened around 5:30 Saturday morning.

This is the second fatal crash in that area in eight days. On January 5th, Khalil Shemar Jones and Shamus D. Dean were killed in a 3 a.m. crash on the JFK near Chandler Road.
