State shuts down daycare after owner arrested for alleged child abuse

MILLARD, Neb. (WOWT) — An Omaha-area daycare has been shut down after the woman who runs it was arrested for alleged child abuse.

Christine Freeman of Chrissy’s Childcare in Millard was arrested on February 2, 2018. She’s charged with felony child abuse – neglect.

Police were called to the hospital after the biological mother of Freeman’s foster child noticed bruising on the little girl. On Tuesday, the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services ordered Chrissy’s Childcare at 132nd and O Street closed.

Freeman can’t legally provide care to any child other than her own.
